Lamisil AT Cream is a topical antifungal medication used to treat fungal infections such as ringworm, athlete's foot, and jock itch. Lamisil AT Cream is a once-monthly treatment. Lamisil AT Cream is available in the form of a cream, which is applied directly to the infected area and works by inhibiting the activity of fungus-derived stress hormones (fungative hormones include cytokinins and dihydrocodeine) which trigger the growth and spread of these infections. Lamisil AT Cream is used to treat fungal infections such as ringworm, athlete foot, and jock itch. Lamisil AT Cream contains Terbinafine Hydrochloride which is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic. Lamisil (terbinafine) is a potent antifungal drug. Terbinafine (buproprionamide) is the generic name of the drug. Terbinafine is a synthetic allylamine derivative. It works by interfering with the way membranes function. This action can be used to treat a wide range of fungal infections.
Use Terbinafine exactly as your doctor prescribes. Do not use the medicine more often than prescribed by your doctor. Follow all instructions provided. If your infection is not treatable, your doctor may increase the dose to treat the infection. If you have a problem with the membranes, use an antibiotic (antifungal) or fungicide (fungicide) to treat the infection.
